With an increasing market of high-end retailers selling golf equipment, one could possibly miss a “real” golf store.

Additional services could include club repair, club fitting, and swing analysis. Most of these golf stores use the True Temper Shaftlab and Achiever Launch Monitor swing analysis. These machines measure everything, from ball speed, club head speed to carry distance. They as well provide printouts illustrating extreme deflection, shaft loading, downswing time and face angle.

Besides, there are other golf stores that offer golf classes being thought by local pros. Golf tutorials can besides be offered for juniors along with women’s clinics on the sport.

Golf collectors will find many interesting items in a golf store as well. Hobbyist may find collector items like golf balls used by some of the world’s most renowned players. Signed items may be available too.

Plus, there are golf stores that offer unusual golf gifts. These things range from the most common to the most creative golf gifts one could get for just about any occasion.

Most golf storeowners are actually golfers themselves. Usually, they put up a golf store after retiring from playing golf.  Like most businessmen assert, it’s good to be passionate about what you are selling. This “passion” will give feelings of satisfaction and gratification to the golf shopper and this is something money cannot buy.

This company has been around for many years and has always worked very hard to provide the highest quality products for those who play the game. While this company makes a high quality line of golf balls, they also make many more golf accessories. These products are used by many different golfers and can be purchased at just about any golf store.

The Titleist name is attached to a vast number of patents that span the whole gamut of golf. They are known for their innovations in all aspects of the sport. Just the patents connected with golf balls range from the manufacture, to testing machines to the composition of materials used to place dimples on top of the balls to the rubber golf balls. It is mind boggling as to how many inventions were made by this company. In addition, they manufacture a whole line of golf apparel that proudly displays their name and is also created to their exacting standards.

When a company can be found that will go above and beyond what is considered the call of duty, it is a rare thing. Titleist can be considered one of those companies. Throughout the year this company hosts workshop type events that allow golfers to improve their game by giving them group or even one-on-one classes. Take Care When Finding Your Golf Putters

Those who play the game of golf understand the importance of having good golf putters, as well as other golf equipment and golf accessories. For those who do not know about the golf putter, they are extremely important to an individual’s game. There are three basic types of the putter. The first type is the mallet, which has an engorged head, making it easier to hit the ball. The second is the cavity type, which is made the opposite of the mallet. The head is placed on the inside, which allows you not to make a direct hit and still hit the ball. The last type is the blade, which is straight on the end. What type of putter you purchase at the golf store and choose to use will depend on your skill level.

Whether you buy them at a golf warehouse, a discount golf outlet or any other golf store, putters help your game by taking those small shots to a level that can become an art form. It is something that you have to feel comfortable with. If you go by price alone, then there is a chance that it may not be the right one, and it will be too late once you take it to the course at the golf club in your locale. You may end up back at the store looking to buy another one. So try it out when you are buying and purchase the one you are most comfortable with.

Research and technology have come a long way in producing putters that can help improve an individual’s golf game. Today, a golf putter can be customized so that it fits all of the individual’s personal specifications, including the height of the person. Golf accessories and equipment are expensive and individuals want to get their money’s worth. However, for many people, the quality of the product outweighs the amount of money that they have to pay, especially for a high quality putter. This is because most short shots are shot with the putter.

Some of the equipment that you will see in a golf store might just look like something you would see in a Sci-fi movie, including some putters. Do not let this deceive you, as these pieces of equipment are designed to help your golf game be at its best. Keep in mind that you need to choose equipment that best fits your skill level. It is also important to remember that the putter can be designed especially for each individual to help meet their needs.

Quality Golf Equipment Is Important For The Golfer

In the world of golfing, one of the important aspects is to have good quality golf equipment. Having quality equipment can mean the difference between having a great day on the greens and not playing well at all. Most golf professionals will tell you that quality equipment is extremely important. However, if the person who is playing is totally new to the game, then the quality of their golf accessories and equipment might not be of much importance. This is simply because they do not possess the skills that they need as of yet. Once the skill is there, the equipment will become more important.

While all of the golf equipment and accessories that are used in the game are important, possibly the most important is the golf clubs. A good set can be the difference in playing a game that is just so, or winning a championship. This is the reason why a lot of research has gone into designing golf clubs in the last few years. Manufacturers are working on ways to help improve the clubs, which will improve the game of the golfer. If you are shopping at a golf store, then you will most likely see all of the newest golf clubs that are on the market. However, if you do not want to spend a lot of money, the try shopping for discount golf clubs as well. You might be surprised at what you can find.

Of course, besides the clubs, there are other elements that are important. This encompasses things such as golf shoes, golf gloves, golf apparel, balls, tees and golf training aids. All of these are necessary for the proper playing of the game. The best shoe to buy for golfing is one that fits properly. This may seem like an obvious idea, but many people wear shoes that pinch while golfing because they did not take the proper amount of time necessary to get the right fit of shoe. The golf balls are even more important than the shoes once you get good at golfing. The best kind of balls to get depend on the type of game you will be playing. Hard balls are great for distance; medium balls are good for both distance and durability. Almost all professional golfers use a soft golf ball for their games.

While quality golf equipment is important for both the expert golfer and the novice, it is more important to the experts who have perfected their game. If you are just beginning in the game of golf, then you must understand that as your game improves, so should the type of accessories and equipment that you play with. This is of course if you are truly serious about your game.

On their days off from work, many individuals enjoy playing a round of golf. Other individuals enjoy going to the golf country club to have a nice dinner at the club restaurant or they choose to take a dive in the club pool. However you choose to spend your day at the country club, it is good to realize that there is much more to do there than just play a game of golf.

Most golf and country club settings offer you a choice of restaurants that cater to most tastes. Next to the restaurant is the golf store, where you can purchase many items pertaining to golf that you will need for your game. If there are any items in the golf shop that you are not sure of, then a golf pro is normally on hand to explain their uses to you. Many of the items may be something that you will need as your game evolves and grows, such as golf apparel, golf gloves and other golf accessories and equipment that you would like to have.

A golf country club offers you more than just a game of golf. They offer you clean showers, a locker room, a store and even restaurants to dine in. You can also get golf training at the country club. Most have golf pros that can teach you how to play the game, give you pointers to make your game better and suggest golf training aids to further enhance your play. All the facilities offered at a country club can make your day very pleasant and relaxing.

While you will most likely have to pay dues to belong to a golf country club, you will be offered much more than you would at a regular golf course. The country club will allow you to be a part of the golfing community. If you have never visited a country club that showcases golf, then you will find that it can be an experience like no other. You can spend time playing the game you love and meet other people with the same love of the game. It can be an enjoyable experience for everyone.

A Look At How Golf Balls Evolved

April 21st, 2009 Senior Golf 0 Comment

golf balls

Golf Balls were not always made the same way that they are today, as they have gone through many changes throughout the years. During the earliest part of the 17th century, they were actually made of goose feathers and cowhide. The cowhide was used as the outer hull and the feathers were used as the stuffing. The process used in making these “featherie” balls was long and somewhat difficult. Because of this, they were also quite expensive.

The next innovation in golf balls came in 1848, when the “guttie” ball was invented by Dr. Robert Adams. It was made from the sap of the Sapodilla tree. When heated the sap could be shaped and molded. It was noticed accidentally that an irregular ball flew better than a true spherical ball; therefore, they were intentionally made with discrepancies to make sure the flight of the balls would be true. Every golf club in the country converted to these balls very quickly as they were much cheaper and easier to make than the previous ones.

In the last century, golf balls were made with multiple layers, consisting of a liquid center, a rubber thread wound tight over it and having a cover put on it to make our modern ball. The country club hills of today have slowly played a part in refining the design to what it is today. Nowadays, they are made as 2, 3 or 4 layered balls, and materials like surlyn or urethane are used to form the layers. The dimples on these balls make it possible for them to be hit farther than plain balls because of the lift and drag effect on them.

Golf balls used in regulation play have to weigh less than 1.62 ounces and have a diameter of 1.68 inches. All of them have to have a completely spherical shape as required by the US Golf Association. This does not mean that other sizes do not exist, but they are not used in regulation play. There are two types of balls that are available in the golf store these days, the recreational and advanced. The recreational balls are generally two layered balls that are cheaper to manufacture. The advanced balls provide more spin power to the user and are made with more than 3 layers.

Pricing Should Not Be An Issue When Investing In Golf Bags

Golfing is not just something people do. It is a passion, and just like any other passion, nearly all golfers only want the best equipment. This includes their golf bags. However, how do they know when they are getting a good product for a good price? Most products will have a high end and a low end and purchasing a new golf bag will not be any different. There are several reputable brands out there that golfers are familiar with, and tend to be on the higher end of the price spectrum, but those on the lower end are quality goods as well.

When you are golfing, the right equipment can make all the difference in your game. A higher price does not always mean higher quality, but it is certainly a start for those looking for an edge. Some of these golf bags may not be as familiar to you but you can be certain they are priced high for a reason. Among these brand names are Slazenger, Ogio and of course Titleist Golf. Bags such as these and the Nike Golf bag are of extremely high quality, but also carry a higher price.

Upon entering a golf store, you will find that there are many golf bags under $150.00 that are of high quality and will not break the bank. A Nike Golf bag is under $100.00, for example. Just slightly over this price is the well-known brand Callaway with their Mini STS bag for $119.99. This is a price that professional golfers and those golfing as a hobby can both respect. The brand Bag Boy also makes the OCB-15 for just under at $99.99. However if you are not looking to spend $100.00 on a golf bag, then there is hope for you and your game. The brand Acuity specializes in lower priced bags that still uphold a standard of quality for men and women. Commonly, their Pro Series bag with a stand costs around $59.99.

Many golfers will agree that golf bags are not as important to their game as custom golf clubs, balls, golf gloves and golf apparel, but they are the glue that carries that precious cargo around! This means that the decision on which one to buy is an important one. For those who may not be familiar with golf, it might be best to stick with the brand names that you know and trust. Yet if you are willing to learn and give others a chance, then you might find that some of the lesser known brands work just fine!

Online Golf Information Made Simple

March 7th, 2009 Senior Golf 0 Comment

Golf is one of the most popular sports in the world and not surprisingly there are millions of websites dedicated to the sport.  The problem for the keen golfer is that there is literally too much information.

When you go to Google or any other search engine and type in the information you are looking for you will receive a bewildering number of websites that might offer what you are looking for.

For example just as a random search I have just gone to Google and typed in “buy new seven iron” without the quotation marks. The return is 18,600,000 web pages.

That is not particularly helpful.I have a bad does of overloaded brain, particularly as a quick look through the first page of websites suggests a lot of narrow websites rather then a the general overview retailer that i was hoping for

As another example I have tried “golf course in Arizona”.  This time I have got 3,400,000 results.

It seemed to me that I should be able to reduce the overload of Google information and find a solution for myself.

Suddenly after hours of wasted time the solution arrived.

What I did was to build a personal golf toolbar.Toolbars are the symbols that sit above your browser window.

In the toolbar I put in my favorite golfing websites so that whenever I wanted golf information it was there at the top of my screen every time I was online. The result was I could visit my favorite course finder, retailer and news center as I wanted. It Made searching life easier.

I use Google rarely now for golf searches and just rely on the toolbar most of the time.

It seemed reasonable to allow general use of the toolbar.Anyone can see it and decide if it is for them. The toolbar downloads quickly and is guaranteed to be free from any spyware.

At the moment it has a top golf store, training aid site, news section and a weather forecast, games, utilities and a holiday or vacation organiser.

The Golf Information toolbar.

I have found it to be very useful and believe many people will agree with me.There is no charge though I should mention that if you should purchase through the retailer on the toolbar I do receive a commission.

I hope that you enjoy the golf toolbar.

The Golf Course Finder toolbar.
